Preformatted Text Example

You probably will NOT use Preformatted text much, unless you know lots of HTML and have a website where you would teach and demonstrate what html you would use to create an element or something on a website. Using the Preformatted tag allows you to enter HTML on your post without the HTML actually taking effect.

<b>the text between the <b> & </b> would normally become bold text</b> However using the "Preformatted" tag, does not allow the html code to actually work and would be good if your website was explaining how HTML code should look and work, while NOT affecting what you are trying to do on your website.

Preformatted Text Example with a large block of html code

.post-title {
margin: 0 0 5px;
font-weight: bold;
font-size: 38px;
line-height: 1.2;
and here's a line of some really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really long text, just to see how the PRE tag handles it and to find out how it overlfows;
}
